omatsuri

Town festival in Japan! Loads of traditional fun - oh the good times...

fishies that i caught in a game

candy that you twist around the chopsticks to catch air and make it taste good.
the amount of fun this was was not met up by its taste.

late night fireworks in front of the office, another tradition :)

Me and Aya, best friends since...since all my life!

Aya and her family

Like my initials graffitied in the background? it was from the fumes of the fireworks!!

must haves.

These three items were a must have on my trip this past summer. A handheld fan, a book page holder , and a tripod with bendy legs. You could imagine why...

so your fingers dont get tired, genius!

farmers market

Food shopping at the farmer's market with my brand new eco-bag! It was given to me as a gift for helping out an organization for the school garden. It fits the world, so convenient!

GO UH!

Went to a UH volleyball game, I haven't been since a few years ago. It was just as intense and riveting as always. I was cheering for the first two quarters, and was sound asleep by the third. I was clearly behind on my sleep if I can slumber through a volleyball game and not wake up. I was jolted awake when my friend was cheering for the hot air submarine that was shooting out coupons. It was a pleasant change in scenery from the beach or mall.

Season pass tickets? We're hardcore.

3rd or 4th home

Pictures back from when I was staying at the Prince Hotel in Karuizawa. The architecture around the cottage is so lovely! Coming back here, I am always greeted by a cool gust of wind, regardless of the temperature in Tokyo, and the earthy smell of trees that surround us no matter where we are here.

These cuties are so used to humans; when you come outside they waddle out of the water thinking they'll get food!

Skirt and lace white cardigan from a boutique in Ikebukuro.

Piece of Cake

Painted my nails, they resemble sprinkle confetti on a cake!
